Responsibilities of the Team Representative
A Team Representative (or Team Rep) acts as a liaison and facilitator for a team, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team, with other teams (as applicable) and with All Sports Booster. The level of Team Rep involvement can vary but generally involve tasks like communication, organization, and representation. Team reps attend the monthly All Sport Booster meeting (2nd Monday of the month) generally held in the high school library. Meetings las no more than 1 hour. Meeting dates are provided below.
Key Responsibilities may include:
- Communication:
Team Reps facilitate communication between the coach and the All Sports Boosters ensuring all pertinent information is shared with the coach and team families. This includes the availability for funds for equipment, volunteer needs to support booster funding & equipment requests and sharing feedback from families to All Sports Boosters. This can involve setting distributing or sharing Booster meeting notes, and relaying information from coaches to the Boosters and vice versa.
- Coordination:
They help support the team parent in organization of team activities, events, and fundraising, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and working towards common goals.
- Representation:
Team Reps often represent the team's interests and perspectives to other teams. They voice concerns, share information, and advocate for the team's needs.
- Facilitation:
Team Reps may also support the team parent to facilitate team gatherings/meetings.
- Information Sharing:
They keep team members informed about important updates, decisions, and changes that affect the team. In essence, the Team Rep acts as a central point of contact and a key facilitator for the team, promoting effective communication, coordination, and representation.
